Portal Improvements & Bug Fixes

  • Clearer Confirmation Messages for Spec Actions
The confirmation messages shown when deactivating or archiving specifications have been updated. Previously, these messages incorrectly stated that the action could not be undone. The messages now accurately reflect that these actions can be reversed, reducing confusion and improving clarity.
  • Improved Inbox Navigation
When viewing reports in the Inbox, you will now return to the same page you were on after closing a report. Previously, users were always redirected to the first page, which made it difficult to continue working through a list of reports.
  • Deactivation Button Visibility
The “Deactivate” button for products and categories is now correctly greyed out once an item has been deactivated. A tooltip has been added to explain that the product or category is already deactivated, preventing any confusion about the current status.
  • Business Rules for Product and Category States
The rules governing the states of products and categories (Active/Inactive, In Use/Not in Use) have been clarified and improved:

-Products and categories start as active when created.
-Deactivation changes their state to inactive.
-Items are considered “in use” if they are part of a published or scheduled specification version.
-Deactivating an item that is “in use” will not block the action; instead, a clear message explains that it will remain available in active or scheduled specifications but will be removed from new drafts.
-Inactive items are excluded from new draft specifications.
  • Technical Improvements
Internal updates have been made to address deprecated terminology in our backend systems. This change is technical in nature and does not affect user-facing functionality but helps ensure long-term stability and maintainability.
  • Recurring Export Job Reliability
An issue was resolved where recurring export jobs could repeatedly fail if the user who created them was removed from the organization. Now, after a set number of failed attempts, the job will automatically switch to a one-time export, preventing unnecessary retries and system load.
